Restaurant

Our restaurant cannot be reached from inside the museum.
It can be reached walking out of the entrance hall on the 1st floor of the Science and Technology building Please show your ticket stub when re-entering the museum

  • Seating Capacity: Approx. 70
  • Please use rest areas in the museum if bringing your own lunch.

Museum Shop

Our shop cannot be reached from inside the museum.

Rest Areas

  • 1st floor of the Life Sciences Building: 170
  • 3rd floor of the Science and Technology Building: 84
  • 7th floor of the Science and Technology Building: 96
  • Food and drink are prohibited in the museum except in rest areas.
  • Museum visitors are always welcome to use these areas.
    Please do not take up seats with personal belongings such as bags.

The number of coin lockers

  • 1st floor of the Science and Technology Building: 130 (small)
  • 1st floor of the Life Science Building: 18 (medium) 16 (large)
  • Coins are returned when items are retrieved.

Nursing Rooms

Nursing rooms are available on the 3rd floor of the Science and Technology Building. Please feel free to use for breast-feeding or changing diapers.

Restrooms are available on each floor.
Include multi-functional toilets, toilets for ostomates, toilets for children, and baby chairs

First Aid Rooms

  • Situated on the 1st floor of the Science and Technology Building.
  • Please inform our museum staff if you should begin to feel ill.

AEDs (automated external defibrillator) are available on the 1st floor of the Science and Technology Building and at the entrance to the planetarium.

Wheelchairs

We can lend wheelchairs to those in need, but please note that we have only a limited number available.
Please speak with a receptionist to borrow one.

Foreign language voice guide service "Multilingual Museum Guide"

We offer a foreign language voice guide service "Multilingual Museum Guide" presented by Brother Industries, Ltd.

  • ・By installing a designated free application to your own smartphone, the audio guide will play automatically when you scan "QR code" close to each exhibits by using the application.
  • *This audio guide does not cover all of the exhibits. You can find a "QR code sticker" where this audio guidance is available.
  • ・The application can be downloaded from App Store or Google Play.
  • *There are free Wi-Fi spots for downloading at the entrance of the museum.
  • ・As the application has the information data, you can also listen to the audio guide by manual operation outside of the museum.
  • ・Currently available in English, Chinese, Korean and Japanese.
